Heart Warrior: Mila

Heart Warrior: Mila

Our second Heart Warrior who inspired our CHD Awareness collection is Mila here is what her mama Ashten shared about her story:

“Mila was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at 20 weeks gestation. TOF is a combination of four heart defects, including a hole between the two ventricles, a narrowing of the pulmonary valve, an enlarged aortic valve, and a thickening of the right ventricle muscular wall. It is the most common complex heart defects with 1 in 2518 babies being diagnosed in the US each year. Mila has been having monthly appointments with her cardiologist and will have open heart surgery in the next few months at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City to repair these defects. She is our tough little heart warrior, and we are so lucky to have her!”
